Upload and extract the ZIP

Get files onto the server before running install.php.

Upload methods

Use FTP, SFTP, or hosting file manager. Upload the ZIP to a folder outside public_html if your host prefers, then extract so index.php and install.php are web-accessible.

Extract completely

Confirm app/, cron/, and storage/ exist
Re-upload if extraction stopped halfway
Do not nest an extra folder level — document root should be the script root

Permissions

After extract, chmod storage/ to 775 or as your host recommends before opening install.php.
