File permissions after install

Writable storage and secure config.

Required writable

storage/logs/
storage/cache/
assets/uploads/

Config lockdown

After install completes, config/config.php should not be world-writable. Remove write permission from web user if your installer left it open.

Troubleshooting

If uploads fail silently, check PHP error log and folder ownership — shared hosts often need 755 on folders and 644 on files.
