Install Step 1 — database

Create database

In cPanel or your panel, create a new database and user with ALL privileges on that database only. Note host (often localhost), name, user, and password.

Enter in wizard

Install Step 1 tests the connection. If it fails, verify the user is assigned to the database and the password has no unescaped special characters issues.

Empty database

Do not import LFMTE dumps during Step 1 — fresh install creates Perseverance tables. Migration imports happen later on staging.
